Elika Rezaee is an award-winning film editor and filmmaker based in Los Angeles. Working across narrative features, documentaries, and hybrid forms, she has built a career around emotionally driven storytelling, bringing together structure, performance, rhythm, and cinematic language to create work that resonates deeply with audiences.

A graduate of the American Film Institute Conservatory. Elika has collaborated with acclaimed filmmakers on projects that have screened and received recognition at major international festivals, including Sundance, TIFF, Tribeca, SXSW, and AFI Fest.

Her editorial credits include SHAYDA, directed by Noora Niasari, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, won the Audience Award, and was released by Sony Pictures Classics; the SXSW Jury Award-winning documentary La Sandinista; Jews Step Forward; Notes; and numerous feature-length and short-form projects spanning documentary and fiction. She is currently co-editing PEACHES, now in post-production, alongside legendary editor and production designer William Chang Suk Ping.

Beyond editing, Elika is an accomplished writer and director whose films have screened internationally and received multiple awards. Her short film FERESHTEH earned Best Short Film honors at the New Jersey Film Festival and went on to screen at festivals around the world. She is currently developing Balcony, a comedy screenplay supported by the Islamic Scholarship Fund (ISF), continuing her interest in stories that blend humor, humanity, and cultural nuance.

Elika is a recipient of the prestigious Karen Schmeer Film Editing Fellowship and a Women In Film (WIF) Editing Fellowship, both recognizing her commitment to excellence in storytelling and editorial craft. Throughout her career, she has remained passionate about championing distinctive voices and collaborating on projects that challenge conventions while remaining emotionally accessible.

Combining traditional editorial techniques with emerging technologies, Elika actively incorporates AI-assisted tools into her creative workflow for research, development, organization, transcription, and post-production. Her technical expertise includes Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, and a range of AI-powered creative technologies.
